Hôtel crises in Paris and five-star for 120euros…..

With thé terrorist attack it was thé start of bad time for thé hôtel owners in France…
No one was expecting such à crise five-star hôtels Daily revenu went down…
Owners were unable to cover up their charges even , but some how the hôtel marketing and commercial team’s  tried to give thé saline to thé dying property’s ‎…
It’s true it was à very hard time specially Parisienne hôtels market…  
Paris was Europes N1 destination as its centralized in Europe so Clients were there even there is à sales and marketing team or not so we called it buyers market…… by closing eyes 22 SQ Meters small delux rooms sold above 500euros/Night  easily with least facilities as  5 star or 4 star hôtels ‎, 
But clients never could do anything or didn’t say anything ‎because it was how…
 
After the crises incredibly thé hôtel rates went down…. we belive it was more exaggerated than expected, Some times it could be Parisienne hotels were not unique and didn’t face to thé crises together, hôtels committees, leading hôtel groups or chain hôtels even put down thé rates ! 
But why ?? It’s because of lack of experiences to face to this kind of situations, lets say sales and marketing experts were not used to “”sellers market”” it’s like just come and treat thé reservations but they were not ready to face for a such à situation….. ‎some are still not….
fortunately there were major CRS / GDS systems  if isnt most of thé hôtels being closed already !!
They were depending on some specific markets only there was no plan B‎ at all……
Solutions are there and still have the time to change before à second crise with technology and facilities of thé rooms….
Target different markets and give good training to thé staff for thé newly target markets, old Parisien rooms are not good enough for thé new generation so renovations and new options should apply, most of thé hôtels fill up their properties thought on-line intermediate sites its normal and can’t avoid but do more prospecting, now forget buyers market, find and implement sellers market techniques as a hotel every one should  train and should understand what is sellers market……. 
Thé best example is most of thé asian countries they were used to sell rooms, they were going for new markets always and as à product entire hôtel is active from lower staff to the higher management they are active so let’s be unique and work as a TEAM… 
 
There are more to learn but don’t sell only thé “Paris Romantic City ” sell your products but quality products….. time to walk on thé floor…..
 
I went to à hôtel recently I see the receptionist with nearly 10 clients, phone rings and trying to give all 5 star services finally nothing is done… But unfortunate ‎at the back office there is à lady can imagine as a manager but she didn’t care thé receptionist’s situation…. later I talk to thé guy who was @ thé réception finally realized thé lady who was @ back office is his (FOM) manager and if hé calls only she comes to assist him, and if hé calls several times she gets mad at him ” what hé told me “. So managers we understand you have lot of works but be humble to be good managers and leads by examples “” keep out big heads if isnt standards of thé industry will be lower and there would be an another crise of services….. ( Note : not all hôtels but most of thé Parisienne 5star hôtels)
